Men's Lacrosse Drops Season Opener to Hudson Valley

TROY, NY - The Monroe Community College men's lacrosse team dropped their season opener 12-10 to Hudson Valley in NJCAA Region III action Tuesday evening. Ian Kane led the way for the Tribunes finishing with three goals while Colin Boglione added two goals and three assists. Owen Infantino finished with 11 saves in goal for Monroe. The Tribs return to action on Saturday, March 11 when they welcome Tompkins Cortland Community College for the home opener at 12pm at John L. Dimarco field on the campus of Monroe Community College. 

Two late goals in the first half of play by John Verrioli put MCC up 7-6 heading into the break. Hudson Valley used a strong third, outscoring the Tribs 4-1 to take a 10-8 lead heading into the fourth quarter and held the Tribs scoreless over the final six minutes of play to secure the victory. 

Steven Laframboise added two goals and Brendan Smallcomb added a goal to round out the scoring for MCC.
