Lady Tribunes dominate in win over Genesee

BATAVIA, NY - The MCC women's basketball team ran its winning streak to 10 games in convincing fashion, blowing out host Genesee CC 88-27 Tuesday evening.

The Lady Tribunes (11-4) connected on 35 field goals on the night, compared to just nine for Genesee.  Monroe held GCC scoreless over the final 12:28 of the game.

Ayana Ratliff (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Loughlin) was 10-of-16 from the field and scored a game-high 22 points to lead Monroe.  Rayia McKnight (Baltimore, MD/Western) and Dionne Coe (Brooklyn, nY/Murry Bergtraum) chipped in with 12 apiece, and Karin Robinson (Queens, NY/Mary Louis Academy) added 10.

Monroe scored more than half its points off Cougar miscues, converting 31 GCC turnovers into 49 points.  MCC also enjoyed a 48-8 advantage in the paint.
