Lady Tribunes cruise to win over Harcum
MCC moves to 4-0 with the road victory.
BALTIMORE - The MCC women;s basketball continued its perfect start to the season in convincing fashion Saturday, defeating Harcum College 115-46 at Baltimore City Community College.
The Tribunes (4-0) take on BCCC Sunday afternoon to wrap up the weekend.
Dionne Coe led Monroe with 20 points on the day. It's the second time in four games the sophomore guard has scored 20 or more. She also had 25 in the season opener against Roxbury.
A tenacious MCC defense forced Harcum into 18-for-68 shooting on the afternoon (26.5%), including 1-for-13 from behind the 3-point line.
Rose Ayala chipped in with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Tyra Jones added 17 points for the Tribunes, who had seven players hit double figures. Tanisha Barr added 12, while Nubia Haynes, Africa Williams, and Bailey Hixson all added 11.
Ayana Ratliff chipped in with nine points and 10 assists.
MCC has averaged 88.5 points per game so far this season, while allowing just 46.2 per contest.
