Streaking Tribunes storm past Kats

ROCHESTER - Ayana Ratliff led four players in double figures with 19 as the MCC women's basketball team defeated Erie CC 87-40 in a WNYAC matchup Saturday.
The victory pushed Monroe's winning streak to nine games. The Tribunes are now 23-3 on the season.
Dionne Coe chipped in with 16 points, while Bailey Hixson and Tyra Jones added 11 apiece. Hixson and Ratliff dished out eight assists apiece.
Ball movement was key for the Tribs, as they assisted on 24 of 33 made baskets.
Monroe forced 26 turnovers, which it turned into 37 points. The Tribune defense held Erie to just 27 percent shooting from the field, including 2-for-12 from three.
MCC wraps up the regular season with a road contest at Genesee on Thursday, Feb. 20. The Tribunes will host a district tournament on March 7 and 8.
