CANANDAIGUA, New York - The MCC volleyball team won its first regional match of the season Thursday evening, defeating Finger Lakes Community College in four sets.
The eighth-ranked Tribunes moved to 1-0 in Region III and 6-0 overall. Game scores were 25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 25-14.
Dayle Taber finished with 16 kills and 10 digs, and Montana Vescovi dished out 44 assists to go along with five blocks, four kills, three aces, and three digs for MCC.
Candice Greer and Rose Ayala had 10 kills each, while Chelsey Luce and Sarah Graham added nine apiece. Jessica Jenkins chipped in with 13 digs.
The Tribunes return to FLCC on Saturday for a regional Pod match, where Monroe will face Columbia-Greene, Hudson Valley, and SUNY Adirondack.
